WINGS OVER OMAN

In late November 2017, I flew from Kochi (in Kerala, India) to Dubai on a daytime Emirates Airlines flight. I was lucky enough to get a window seat that was not over the wings.

There was hardly a cloud in the sky. This meant that I was able to get great views of the ground which we were flying over. Using my humble Samsung S6 phone, I took a number of photographs, which I wish to share with you. By the way, I  found that my mobile phone takes aerial pctures with much greater ease than my moe sophisticated Nikon camera.

Most of the pictures were taken over Oman (from my seat over forty thousand feet above sea-level), and the rest over Dubai, as we began descending towards its airport. I was particularly entranced by the beautiful emptiness of much of Oman, and concerned to see that city of Dubai encroaching on the desert surrounding it.
