The Hilton Hawaiian Village & Waikiki with Kids

After touching down at the airport and jumping into the avis rental mini-van (join the avis wizard program, they have the car waiting for you when you arrive) we loaded up the boys 6 and 8 into the back and the luggage (how did I manage to pack this much for a 7 day trip)?

Somehow with kids it just manages to take longer; we proceeded to our hotel the Hilton Hawaiian Village, now I must admit, I'm not usually much for a hiltons, but in Hawaii, I figured what the heck; time to kick back and enjoy the trip ( I wanted to make sure it would pass the WAF (wife acceptance factor)

It totally did.

The best part was the fact that they have a fantastic private pool including a kids pool, so that we can retreat from the crowded public beaches, but the hilton also had very well insulated rooms which is importnat when sharing the hotel with other families with kids :)

they reccomend trutle bay; but I wanted to be in the thick of waikiki so I could show the kids and my wife some of the things I remember about hawaii;
