Fire works and chocolate...

Geneva is one of the most peaceful of places... that is until night sets in on the eve of their winning the America Cup, a boat race that apparently everyone was a little bit surprised they won. We showed up with no knowledge. Wandered around the town taking in he sites, it's in a valley between the mountains, lovely view. It was cold but not miserable and very comfortable in out SwissHotel, a chain we love. We went out late at night cause we could hear music on the other side of the lake and we saw lights. Walking over we joined the crowd just as the fireworks went off. Fantastic display! There were people sitting up in the trees to get a good view, loud music played and the massive fountain that is in the lake had a projector put on it, you can see a green image of the cup they won in one of the photos. It was so cool! Everyone was lively and cheerful our entire stay.
We went home with swiss army knives and watches, how cliche is that? But, we still have the watches. Not that the knives weren't nice... it's just a matter of remember where they got put. Anyway, there was chocolate everywhere, which was a big hooray! From Jimmy who loves chocolate and there was an excellent Italian restaurant with yummy pasta for me :)
