Shiraz, Masjed e Nasir al Molk

The train to Shiraz did arrive a bit early in Shiraz. The taxies did know that, but there is no bus to the town from the station which is in 17 kilometer distance. There is a motorway built in front of the station, if you walk for about 1 km towards to town there is a big shopping center, look for a bus to the  Namazi bus terminal a bit northwest of the city center. Buses from there in many directions.

There are a lot of interesting places to see in Shiraz. Went to the Armagh e Shah e Cheragh (Mosque and Mausoleum, women have to wear a Chador when entering this Mosque, you can borrow it there), to the  Masjed e Nasir al Molk, the Bazar e Vakil, the  Arg e Karim Khan (citadel), the Khan-e Zinat ol-Molk and the Masjed e Vakii.

Worth seeing is of course also Persepolis, in about 70 kilometer distance, but I was there years ago and prefered to stay in Shiraz for the few days.

Was staying at Grandma B&B.

Was eating at the Saraye Mehr close to the Saraye e Moshir, a caravansary at the south entrance of Bazaar Vakil. Had a fairly nice eggplant stew with rice and water for about € 4, service was not the most friendly.

And by train back to Tehran and on to Kuala Lumpur.
