Limbe

And  by shared taxi to Limbe, 2000 XAF and about 2 hours, leaving when full from Rond Point Deido. There are 4 passengers on the rear seats and 2 on the front seat, a bit crowded.

The beach in Limbe is not the best, beaches get better further west, frequent shared taxies are going there.

Quite nice is the Botanical Garden, but no labels on the trees, if you want to know you will need a guide. Free entry, can be quite full on Sundays.

I have seen better Zoo‘s then the one in Limbe, but the animals there have not bee captured but rescued from a accident, poachers etc., there are quite a lot of Gorillas, Chimpanzees and other monkeys. 3000 XAF entrance fee open from 9 am to 4.30 pm.

Did also a daytrip to Buea, in German colonial times for some time the capital with a German palace, actuality more a 1900 style villa, unfortunately sometimes used by the Cameron president, so no pictures and closed for tourists. It’s a pleasant little town, a bit cooler then Limbe. Get there from Limbe by shared taxi (1000 XAF the closest stop to the palace would be about 500 meters) from 1/2 mile station. To get back you have to get first to 17 mile station, 200 XAF, from there you might have to change in 4 mile station (this bus stop is good for longdistance buses) 650 XAF, from there to Limbe 250 XAF.

Stayed there at the Victoria Guest House Hotel.

And by overnightbus from Limbe to Bamenda, depending the company 5500 or 6000 XAF.
