Hallway to our room
Day 3, Marsa Alam, Egypt
The 3rd day was just a really slow day. We slept untill late and then we had breakfast and slept some more at the beach. First time for me to ever do that! And ofcourse I went into the water a lot for the snorkling. This time I went in the water also to the more deep parts. At one point I wasnt paying attention and then Robin suddenly pulled my arm. Then I looked behind me and I had almost bumped into some rock with a ton of urchins on it! Ieieiw! They are so scary to me! At first I didnt wear the flippers because I didnt know how to handle them but after that I didnt take them of for one second anymore!! I saw some really big fish that day and also some fish who were hiding out on the bottom of the sea all covered in sand.
All that was showing were the eyes. I really loved watching the fish althought I find snorkling a little scary, its calming at the same time! We swam up to the a wooden platform wich was more away from the snorkling area. There were a lot of little crabs on that platform but the most funny thing were all the really tiny colourfull fish that were hiding out underneath of the platform. Whenever someone would jump into the water from the platform they all swam away very quickly but were back again within a minute. This time there were also a lot of big schools of colourfull fish who were not scared by the tourists at all. They were just swimming around me and didnt seem to mind the people who must look very scary to them with the snorkling gear! After a beach-day (who wouldve geusssed I would ever have on of those?!) we went up to the hotel room for a shower and to get some sleep. After that we enjoyed another great dinner. I had some different types of seafood wich was great! After dinner we went up to the room, watched another movie and went to sleep. This vacation was actually all about relaxing wich is not my type of vacation but still it was great! I always thought I would have a vacation like this on the Maldives or some other tropical island, but Egypt is very much suited for this too! Egypt is like paradise!
