Lightning, thunder, wow , wow
September 3, 2007
Wow, lightning and thunder.
In the past fifteen years in Juneau, I've seen lightning and heard thunder only twice, maybe three times.
It is always exciting.
So, tonight , I can see the sky light up, and sometimes see the actual forked lightning.
Optical illusion?
Ready for the departure tomorrow.

We leave tomorrow morning.
My plan was to avoid the last summer holiday traffic and mess. Okay.
Now, tomorrow mornig we leave north on I-5 about 09:00 to miss most of the commuter traffic.
Turn off on Hwy 18 north, then miles and hours to I-90 east.
Almost a year ago, I did this same trip with a U_Haul truck.
Then I made it to idaho for my first overnight stop.
I bought two interstate travel books. I reviewed the Roadside America website.
I have an idea where we'll make our overnight stops and the" wowo, that looks fun" stops.
The plan tonight is to make Spam sushi, maybe biko, maybe just bring along hum bow for our first road food.
Then it'll be truck stops and picnic meals along the way.
Last night we made fry bread. Well really, my cousin NN and J made the bread. I just ate it.
It's good with butter and jam, or peanut butter with jam, or simplest of all, a sprinkle of regular sugar.
It was better than the pow wow fry bread. "Cause family made it. Of course.
