If you like shopping just visit the areaa around the Neumarkt. From boutiq stores to big malls it's all there. A nice park for some relax time and away from the ' busy'  cityvibe is Biergarten am Aachener Weiher. Just follow Aachenerstrasse west out of the city and after 1.5 km it is on your left side.
