Petrovac is a beautiful old place in the end of the Budva Municipality. Unlike in Budva, the beach here is not overcrowded and therefor this is a clean and peaceful place. The sand at the beach is reddish.

The riva is paved and houses along it are typical Adriatic stone homes with wooden windows and doors.  There are several big hotels and more in construction. On the end of riva is the Castello Fortress with a nice terrace,  a cannon and an obelisk, a  monument built in memory of the locals who died on the battles during the WW2  from where you will get a wonderful panoramic view above a pier. In front of the place is the little island Katic and a chapel.

Petrovac has a nice bus station where a passanger must pay a tax when buying a ticket. The place is connected with Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, with an old mountain road and with Budva and Bar with the Adriatic Highway.
