5/1/2017 - off to China!

Flew with ANA from NYC to Beijing... w/ a layover in Tokyo-Narita... uneventful flight, caught up on movies and slept.

Arrived at Beijing Airport and breezed through immigration - was a bit anxious there... it's a large airport, walked a bit before hitting immigration, then took a shuttle train to another terminal for baggage pick up and customs. Followed the sign for taxi which was surprisingly organize and efficient. Took a taxi to central Beijing (40mins with no traffic) since it was 9pm already.

Had to be dropped off at the main street as the hostel is in hutong (alley) and the taxi driver refused to drive in. It was only a 2-mins walk, but the area was quiet - I guess the city sleep early on weekdays? The hostel was clean and staff friendly, speaks passable English.
