Woke at realising I was meant to be checking onto a flight to Coolangatta. Since Neil is going to be in Brisbane on Wednesday and Thursday for business I had considered catching the flight we'd had arranged for a group of people to go to the Gold Coast with the wedding party. I thought maybe I could crash with Adam, my best friend's boyfriend, and one of the reasons I decided to come to Australia this year, since they are emigrating here for a couple of years. Still being wobbly and not being able to face lugging my enormous rucksack to the airport I decided not to go. Flights on wednesday are only about 79 dollars (30 quid) so I'll wait. Besides, I've had my fill of airports, having been through them 7 times in 6 days already. So instead we kotched on the sofa and I was initiated in to the TV series Entourage. Later, we headed down to Oxford Street (the gay/house club area of Sydney) to the Fringe Bar for a meal and a night of comedy with a friend of Neil's Bianca and some other of her friends. Some of the jokes I didn't get since they referred to Australian areas (Blacktown is what UK people would refer to as 'pikey') and Australian adverts, but it was a good night all the same. We saw Saul Bernstein, and a 'something something Meredith'?? He was excellent! Would love to see a whole night of him. :)
