One Day in Bangkok

Wasn't sure if I was meant to arrive at the Wildlife Centre today to start tomorrow, or arrive tomorrow. I decided I needed a day to prepare myself and relax, so I had a lovely, calm day spent in Rambuttri Sol. Totally rubbish I am. The internet cafe, the fruit shake cart, the Pad Thai street vendor and the 7/11 were all within spitting distance so I never ventured further than 100 metres from the hostel. I could have done some sight-seeing, but having accepted I will not get to see any of Thailand really on this trip, I will come back to Bangkok some time in the future, so why kill myself sight-seeing before I start a gruelling month volunteer placement?

But after finishing on a massive high, Angkor Wat technically marked the end of my 'travels', since I have chosen to volunteer in Thailand instead so will be working my butt off instead of swanning around.

So from tomorrow, I'm in a new blog!
