Almost a year spent travelling to Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Not A Lot

Neil was out most of the morning enjoying the 'Replacement Bus Service' back from MacArthur. Ah how this reminds me of sweet sweet home! So it took him several hours to get back, meanwhile Sarah and I were mostly tucked up under duvets watching Fox on Neil's giant flatscreen TV. When he got home we agreed to go for dinner at Pietro Italian restaurant down the road, on the basis that when Cody is around, no one is permitted to eat anywhere more expensive than the pub. We were accompanied by Neil's friend Brogan, and enjoyed the usual nice wine and food that I am becoming accustomed to. I thought I would miss Andy and Dad's cooking in Australia, but thank my lucky stars, I think I am going to be okay you know....;)

This used to be Giuseppes Italian restaurant but has changed hands. It is a 3-part restaurant with small tables on the pavement, a middle section inside and a back courtyard area which is an outside covered space. The wine is BYO and there is a bottle shop (off license) conveniently almost next door.

The food was excellent, everybody enjoyed it and the ambience in the courtyard very nice. I would say this was an expensive restaurant for a traveller, but average for a normal working person. We paid about 150 dollars for 4 meals and 4 starters and this did not include wine since we bought it next door. So main courses were about 30 AUS dollars each, though to save money I chose a cheaper dish than everybody else as I am on a budget. I figure since the food is so good in Australia, I can have just an enjoyable meal for less elsewhere.
