Boiling the bed bugs

Today I was up at 8.10am to have a go at the bed bugs. So far I have left my stuff in the black bags outside the house and been wearing Sancha's clothes, but today I started to pick through the stuff, Morteining everything I could, dipping everything in scalding water, and tying it up in bags to leave on the grass in the sunshine to kill the wee beasties. Thankfully I only found one or two which were already dead, so I'm hoping that without a blood meal for the past 2 days they haven't survived, but only time will tell.

I wanted to join Sancha on her Saturday sailing club but they had enough deck hands already so I opted to stay home and catch up on my internet stuff. When she returned at 7pm we started to get ready for a 30th birthday party at The Lucky Shag by the river in Perth.

Cedric, me, Gemini and Thorben at the Brass Monkey
I may not have done much Perth sight-seeing but I have seen a fair bit of nightlife thanks to Sanch! After a frustrating 2 hours of typical girly faffing we finally arrived there, meeting Gemini, Sebastian, Cedric, Zoe, Jim and a guy I hoped would give me a lift to Adelaide, Dan. We had a few drinks there, then walked up to the Brass Monkey in Northbridge via Dan's van for some jaigermeister and coke. Thorben was waiting for us there, so we had a catch up for a while over a few drinks. Things went a bit wrong though and the evening turned sour for everybody in some sense or another. The boys had to catch last trains home so Sebastian, Gem and I headed over to the Sapphire Bar in Subiaco to meet Sancha and friends who had moved on earlier and she and I finally made it home around 4am.
