Airlie Beach

We woke at 4am and drove a few hours to Airlie, finally arriving about 7.45am. We wandered around, feeling hot and grubby from the drive and eventually booked into a hostel where we set about bleaching streaks in my hair, showering, doing laundry and generally getting ourselves back in order. The shopping here is good so Megha bought me some new beautiful turquoise flip-flops (thongs) and a blue anklet and I bought the third pair of sunglasses so far, as they keep breaking! We just pottered around doing our own thing all day, grabbing lunch, catching up on emails before our briefing on the Whitsundays trip tomorrow, and then chatted at the hostel and got an early night to catch up on sleep.
