Number of days on the road: 13. Number of states driven through: 13. Number of miles traveled: over 5700. Number of speeding tickets: 3. The cost of driving cross country: priceless! My cousin and I "took the long" way so that we can see America. Here is my retrospective of that adventure which I would like to share with the TravBuddy world.

"The Stars at Night are Big and Bright...Deep in the Heart of TEXAS!"

PHEW!  We made it to Texas.  After driving about 17 hours the Dallas/Fort Worth skyline was a welcome site.  We were lucky to have free accommodations for the night at Mar's friend Drew's house in Fort Worth.  Drew was such a great host with a spare bedroom.  After our late night arrival, Drew took us out for wings at his favorite bar/hangout...sorry can't remember the name...I was just glad we were not the ones driving!   Back at his place, we three chatted a bit before it was of to dreamland!  Need rest deparately...tomorrow was another long day of driving!
