Party Hardy in Denver!
August 12, 2006
We got back from our day trip just in time to get ready to crash some parties. Party 1 was Jeanne's bosses' sons party which was in some frou frou neighborhood. I felt a bit under dressed but the hor'douvers were yummy. We even took a shot of I think it was vodka with Jeanne's boss...crazy right?!? Party 2 was a low key birthday party in some quaint Denver neighborhood. We hung out in the front yard drinking and chatting and laughing...we got back to Jeanne's place at 2 AM...awh good times.

An Afternoon Stroll in Downtown Denver
August 12, 2006
Mar and I were suppose to hit the road again early this morning but Jeanne convinced us to stay another day so that she and her friend...I think his name is John...could to show us the town. So after brunch at a corner cafe, we headed towards downtown. The first stop was the 16th Street Mall. We wandered along the 1.25 mile long boulevard past department and boutique storefronts and countless eateries. From the 16th Street Mall, you can even see the golden dome of the Colorado State Capitol Building. Also located at the 16th Street is the Daniels & Fisher four faced clock tower which was one of the tallest in the west during the early 1900s. We even took a ride on the free shuttle bus service called MallRide. The original section of the 16th Street Mall was designed by the master modern architect, I.M. Pei, who also designed the Louvre Pyramid.
