This trip wasn't normally planned, but we got a promotion fare with Ryanair, thus, without a second thought we book the flight. We been to UK dozen times and still, always good to go back. This is a long weekend trip, most of our European trips are mostly happen on long weekends or just for a weekend. The 1st of May a labor day, we took the advantage to have this weekend trip to UK. The flight schedule is quite good, leaving on Friday evening from Brussels Charleroi Airport and coming from Manchester also in the evening.

To see a little more in three days, we booked a car at Manchester airport. It is our first time flying to Manchester, thus we're looking forward to it. Friday we still got to work as our flight only departed at 10:00 pm, but our bags are ready.

If we flying from Brussels South airport we always drive our car and leave it there for a few days. It doesn't cost much for a parking, there are plenty of places outside Charleroi airport to park, takes 5-10 minute from departure terminal but shuttle is available which include in the price. However, three days parking cost already 35€ but we're eased coming back from our trip without depending on public transport. Brussels South Airport doesn"t had a good connection with train especially at night.

Brussels South airport has a beter road doesn't had traffics compared to Brussels Airport in Zaventem. Distance between Brussels South airport is slightly further than our main airport in Zaventem. This is a smaller airport we don't need to be there so early. We only need more time at the parking.Sometimes we had to wait a little longer for the shuttle, but they always bring us to the terminal on time. When booking the parking they're always want to know when is your departure time. I personally like flying from this airport, but this is mostly used for European destinations. The thing I like in Brussels South airport - is a very small terminal, you reached the departure gate and arrival areas in less than ten minutes. While you need almost an hour in Brussels international airport.
