the stairs to climb to go to the Fisherman's Bastion from the hotel

Early in the morning, we have chocolate muffins and coffee inside the room before heading out to explore the city.

We walk from the hotel to the “Fisherman’s Bastion” which takes around 10-15 minutes’ walk. It was nice walk pass the garden and many beautiful view of the Buda wall.  The Fisherman’s Bastion were built in the 19thcentury to serve as a lookout tower.  Apparently we have to pay a fee to go up the turrets now, which was free when I was there in the 2012.

The turret was free at night time around 8 pm and it was beautiful to see the sparkling light from up there.  The 7 turrets is to represent the 7 Hungarian tribes who founded the present day country in 895.

There are a good café on the terrace of the Fisherman’s Bastion which I dine years before.

Unfortunately we were not able to dine there as we could not get a seat with a view toward the Pest side.  Instead we had lunch at one of the small café which I regretted after, since they do not have many food offer and the food was not that good, but it did have a good view toward the Parliament building.

After lunch, we just walk around to the old Palace, pass several museums and wonder around for a refreshing memory.  It was good to be back and enjoying the sun.  By 3 pm, my tummy start singing, since I did not eat much during lunch time, so we stop at one of the National museum cafe to have something to eat and rest a bit after walk so much and just enjoy the sights

Around 6pm, we decided to go back to the hotel since my feet start killing me and I was really tired walking all day, climb up and down the steps in the area.  We rest in the room before going out for dinner and since we were tired, so we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant again since the food was pretty good.
