As soon as i'd found my hostel and decided to go for a walk, i was in a happy place.  Budapest is made up of Buda, the old town, and Pest, the new town.  The danube river seperates the two sides of town and the hill on Buda makes for some sensational views.  This is where i spent my first afternoon, having a beer.

The next day i went on a walking tour that went to the heroes monument, the jewish synagogue (2nd biggest in the world), the palace, fishermans bastion etc.  Immediately after this interesting walking tour, I went caving in the depths of buda.  it was awesome!  there were holes that i could've sworn were far too small to fit through, bruises and lots of dirt.  Met some awesome people from this adventure, so the caving was followed by beer.

My final morning in budapest, i woke up very sore (apparently those holes were too small.)  so, what better way to recover, than to go to the ancient thermal baths for a massage and relax.  ah, bliss!  could easily have spent more time here.

The caving sounds fantastic, painful and claustrophobic, but fantastic nontheless
