Sacre Coeur.

Having been many times to Paris France for holiday and sightseeing, nowadays Paris is a travel hub.  I arrive from St Pancras  London by Eurostar at Paris Gare de Nord, I either stay in Paris overnight in the Gare de Nord area,or continue straight away on my journey. There are 8 main stations in Paris.----Paris GARE DE NORD as already mentioned is for Eurostar to England by the Euro tunnel under the English channel. Trains also go to northern France. and Brussels in one hour and 20 minutes. ----Paris GARE DE EST is a short walk from Gare de Nord, or Metro one stop ,but up and down escalators, can take a taxi if a lot of luggage. Gare de Est is one of the oldest stations in Paris, has some lovely decorations.

Notre Dame.
Trains go to Germany and Switzerland.----GARE DE LYON magnificent station for South of France, Switzerland and Italy.----GARE MONTPARNASE, the Tower Montparnase, this station for West and South West, Bordeax, Rennes, and Nantes.----GARE DE BERCY is a car service terminal.----GARE DE AUSTERLITZ is the overnight services to Spain etc.----GARE DE LAZARE for northern France.Dieppe, Rouen Caen etc. ---- CHARLES DE GAULLE is in Terminal 2 at the Airport.----Some of these stations are works of Art ,some are dismal.  Getting around Paris can be by taxi, Bus can be great if its going to a station you want. Most used is the Metro/RER. RER is a faster train with less stops. A Ticket must be bought before travel to open the gate, retain ticket to contine journey. If you have a journey between stations research before you travel, the Metro as a website.  Happy travelling.
