A typical Irish Meal

Grandson on stage

We had to leave at 6:30 smartly for a trip to Abbey Tavern and a typical Irish meal. We both had the leek and potato soup (alternative was Roquefort salad), corned beef and cabbage (alternative was salmon) and I had apple tart and my grandson had ice cream. Afterwards there was Irish Coffee (my grandson had coke and I had nothing), and Irish dancing. While they were dancing, I walked down to the waterfront and photographed the lighthouse, and my first charged camera battery died. I certainly hope I get the charger tomorrow.

They had music and singing.  There was a violin, a guitar, a girl singer, and a man who sometimes played the violin and sometimes a wind instrument. They played the old Irish songs, and at the end they called my grandson, Ryan and Victoria up on stage. It ended really late - both for the kids and for me, and made it hard to wake up the next day
