Our Ice Cave Tour go cancelled so we rescheduled it for Tuesday... and decided to do the things we planned for Tuesday today!
First stop, Sun Voyager - a metal sculpture of a Viking ship along the new harbor of Reykjavik. We passed by the Harpa Concert Hall and decided to have an appetizer of hotdog at the popular, Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, a small hotdog stand in parking lot, before browsing around Kolaportid Market at the Old Harbor. We bought a couple of the rye bread that we love and decided it was time for lunch!
My sister's friend wanted to try minke whale - so I took them to Saegreiffin (The Sea Baron) for some awesome seafood. We had the lobster soup and hake, as well as, the minke whale taster. Fresh seafood and rustic harbor seafood restaurant. The place was cramp but I like the authenticity of it despite it being more of a touristy crowd last time I was there - 6 years ago.
We walked back to our accommodations along Laugavegur while stopping at several shops for souvenirs and quick grocery shopping for some fruits. We had dinner at a Thai restaurant across from our accommodations and enjoyed they 450ISK can of beer :)
