Good hostel in Bath, St Christopher's Inns
I went to the St Christopher's Inns hostel in august 2007. I stayed there for 2 days because I was visiting Bath and the surroundings. After looking for hostels in Bath, I found this one that it was much better that I expected. Hostels in England aren't very comfortable and clean, and maybe the worst are the beds, maybe you'll prefer to sleep on the floor than to sleep in some beds you can find in England.
But St Christopher's Inns was really comfortable. Beds were new, sheets were really clean, and I have a good time there. I was in the girls dorm, it was very clean and quite, despite of the bar downstairs that it's part of the hostel.
The location of the hostel was excellent, very near from the Cathedral and the Roman Baths, and not too far from the Royal Crescent.
There is a bar at the ground floor, it was very lively in the afternoon.
The staff of the hostel was very nice, and they can book you one day trip to Stonehenge, Castle Comb and Lacock, in the Cotswolds. I took one day trip and the driver & guide he was so humorous!
Maybe the only inconvenience of the St Christopher's Inns is that there's no lift to carry you and your luggage, so maybe you'll have to take your stuffs up stairs 1 or 2 floors, but, If you feel you can, you should go there!
