I went to the World's Largest Demolition Derby at the Erie County Fair.  This was the first time I have ever been to one of these.  We arrived at the fair long enough to grab some fair food, eat it, and head over to the grand stand.  Oops, we should of eaten the food at the grand stand because we are forced to stand up for the first three runs.  We were as close to the action as we possibly could be.  The cars come forward and line up next to each other in a row.  The next set of cars line up in a line with the rear of the car facing the rear of the cars in the previous row.  This happens for about 4 rows.  The cars are then shown off for best in show and then the crowd votes by yelling for the best decorated vehicle.  After that is done, the action begins.  The cars crash into eachother over and over again hoping to put the other vehicle out while remaining in the derby themself.  Some vehicles fair well while others go up in smoke or flames.  A complete experience is made when we can see flames coming up into the sky.  A must see experience for anyone heading into the overpopulated even that is know as a fair.
