Eric accepted a job in Germany! We hope to use this site as a way to keep family and friends updated on what is going on with us and some of our experiences as ex-pats in Deutschland!

We've arrived

The infamous futon "sofa" and twin bed.
We made it! We are sitting on the "futon" in our new apartment.

We boarded our flight on time out of Phoenix, but due to weather in Philadelphia we left 1 1/2 hours late. This left us about 25 minutes to make the international connection... we ran and made the flight, but unfortunately our bags did not.

After arriving in Munich and filling out the missing luggage form, we got our little Fiat rental car and headed toward Ulm. The relocation coordinator met us at the apartment with our keys and showed us a bit around the neighborhood. Tonight we'll head out to get a few groceries and try to stay awake a few more hours. We're 9 hours later then PST and 6 hours later then EST.

We hope we can get our bags delivered tomorrow, but that's still up in the air. We'll try to send out some pictures and more info our tomorrow.
