free day in edinburgh

Well today is my last day in Scotland.  Time has flown by. Today I take my last strolls though the city. Up and down the Royal Mile. Some of the people I was on the tour with decided to have coffee at Elephant House. We sat around and enjoyed cups of coffee and Hot chocolate along with a shortbread cookie or two. We swapped stories of our trip and photos. It was great to set there and gaze over out over Grey Friars Cemetary and Edinburgh castle. We are counting down the hours to the release of the new Harry Potter book and then a few short hours until we are heading home. This trip has been amazing. I can not believe it has come and gone. This is an amazing country. Our trip has been great and the weather amazing. Today we again wonder around on our own. We have our last meal at the Filing Station. The food was great. I had the Chicken and mushroom on penne pasta. We then head back to the hotel to get ready for the book release at all of our different bookstores. Tonight we will collect our books at Blackwells Bookstore. This is something we have been waiting for since picking up the first book many years ago. We head to blackwells about 1030pm. People are already lining up to pick up thier books. They are holding a book release party and we have tickets to get in. They are holding class, O.W.L.S., N.E.W.T.S. and serving wizarding sweats. This will be the books release that will make me smile for years to come. At just after midnight we collect our books and head back to the hotel to kill a chapter before getting some shut eye.
