Isle of Glencoe Hotel
We leave the Isle of Glencoe Hotel. We head up the road and stop a the 3 sisters. It is slightly overcast. There are these massive hills infront of us. There are these fluffy clouds covering the top of the mountians. Standing at the stop was relaxing because you could hear the waterfalls coming down the beside the two laned road. At the stop we meet some military medics on gaurd while the mountian crews were doing exercises on the mountians. We reboard our bus and take a little ride where we take a short hour long hike. There were waterfalls everywhere and wild flowers growing along the road. There were Hostels here and there along the road. We reboard the bus to Steall falls. We stop and are but onto a smaller bus to take us up to the unloading are where we are to start our hike to the falls.
This place is beautiful. More waterfalls eveywhere. We even hiked over them. That was a little nerve wrecking when you are afraid of heights. Since we were a large group we would let smaller groups of more seasoned hikers pass. There was even a couple with 2 small children and a woman in heel boots pass us. When we rounded the bend we got our first look at falls. It was breathe taking, the mist in the air on an overcast day. As we get closer to the falls the rain starts a falling. As we get closer it starts raining more. We make it to the the base of the falls and stare in amazement. Were we not able to get too close to the falls due to the rain and mud. Some of the group even fill water bottles with water from the falls. Our hike back was not a bad since we were already stretched out. It is amazing that people use to live out there and hike that to school and to town to collect supplies. We made it back to the pick up/drop off point and wait for the our bus. Well after waiting for 30 mins and decide as a group to start hiking back down to our awaiting warm bus. There were even more beautiful waterfalls heading down the hill. We board the bus and head for Glenfinnin and Hot Chocolate.
