Gloucester Cathedral
July 11, 2007
Our morning starts as we all meet in the dining hall for breakfast. After breakfast we wonder the streets of oxford and collect snacks for our bus ride. We are heading to Gloucester to tour the Gloucester Cathedral. After the group gets off the bus we stroll the streets and admire the beautiful structures. We have this wonderful tour guide. She takes us through the halls of the Cathedral. She not only explains the history of the Cathedral, she shows us areas of the church that was featured in the first 2 Harry Potter films. From the Entrance to the Gryffindor common room to the place where the troll walked the hallways to where the heir of Slytherin wrote a creepy message. While we were there, the children at the local school were preparing for a ceremony. There were children practicing their dance performances to an orchestra rehearsing their melody. We marvel in the structual detail of the church. The green men throughout the church to beautifully manicured cloister. We stroll back through the city of Gloucester back to pur bus and we head to Wookey Hole Caves.
