Have been awake since 8am NZ time and New Zealand is 19 hours ahead of San Francisco so not sure how long I have been awake for. Flight was pretty good, had a bit of extra leg room as no one was in the seat next to me. While leaving the plane got chatting to a professional rugby player (recognised him but can't remember who he is). Got through the first part of security fine but then got put into a very long bio check line, as I had just come from a farm. Halfway down the line I got asked if I had any food on me, said no and they let me go. Collected my bag and then found my way to the shuttle bus. After ages I finally made it to the Hi-SF Fisherman's Wharf hostel. It has limited views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Checked in and then went for a walk along the water to the piers. Had a yummy ice cream and saw Air Force 1 flying over the city. Picked up my tickets for Alcatraz for tomorrow and then had fish and chips for dinner.
