View of Niagara Falls from afar while stuck in traffic

28th of May, 2016:

The traffic towards Niagara Falls was horrenhous, so we skipped the planned duty free visit. Thankfully, immigration went by smoothly. Stuck in traffic, I took the opportunity to record multiple videos and simply enjoy the breathtaking views from afar.

Finally, I got to board the longed for Maid of the Mist boat. They handed each of us a disposable, red raincoat to prevent us from getting soaked. I didn't mind getting wet, so I went to the top deck by the rail. I spent the first 20 minutes taking in the beauty of the enormous Falls and the water spraying on my face. It is incredibly beautiful when the the falls splash on the lake to create a rainbow. Towards the end of the ride, my spectacles dropped and the right glass popped out, missing.

Fortunately, thanks to the kind strangers onboard, who helped me locate my missing glass.

We checked into Days Inn Lundy's Lane to refreshen up then went for dinner at Elements on the Falls. From this restaurant, I had a good time enjoying the splendid views of the Falls right in front of me while chatting with my new friends for the next few hours.

Around 9pm, we headed out to see the night illumination of the Falls and take more pictures. After that, we decided to hop on the ferris wheel (Niagara Skywheel) to view the Niagara Falls from a different angle. To end the night, we chilled at Tim Hortons (this chain is ubiquitous in Canada as Starbucks is in the US) right beside the ferris wheel. I felt a little bit of buyer's remorse when I spotted a discount coupon for the Niagara Skywheel inside the free entertainment books at Tim Hortons.

How many days do you recommend for Niagara Falls? Would be enough if I do the day tour from Toronto?
