A full day in Dublin

We actually get to sleep in today. Our bus doesn't leave until 10:30am, so we hardly know how to act. We manage to dally around slowly and get to breakfast about 9:15am.
We take the bus tour of the city which although not providing many picture opportunities was interesting. One highlight was seeing all of the Doors of Dublin. The end of the tour was at Trinity College.
Trinity College houses the Book of Kells. Unfortunately, no photos are allowed inside. Quite a display of replicated pages, the drawings and pages of the books. I think on the day we were there there must have been at least a thousand more people inside. Rather crowded. We were quite impressed with the Long Room. It was indeed the largest library room I have ever seen.
We were able to check out several shops near the college, which is to say touristy. Heraldry is one of the things I love and we checked out a couple of those shops. On the way back towards our hotel was a large, 3-story glass mall. Inside it was all white wrought-iron and very trendy. We spent an hour or more strolling, but managed to not find anything we wanted.
Dinner that evening was at the Pub across the corner from the Hotel. It is called The Barge. Chicken Parmiseano, with a small salad, rice and boiled potatoes, and finished with hot apple pie and ice cream. Although good, my wife makes a better apple pie.
At the hotel we repack for the last week.
