A day between tours to relax

Well, not really relax.  We had two weeks of dirty clothes filling our suitcases and not much clean stuff left to wear so we either had to find a laundry or Harrod's Department store to replace it all.

So we found both!  We dragged our laundry to a little place and spent a couple of hours doing it and then after taking it back to the hotel we grabbed a bus and headed for Picadilly Circus.  Lunch at Garfunkel's was a chicken, mozerella, and tomatoe sandwich and a fresh salad. Then realized that the directions given us by a nice little guy was wrong and we grabbed a bus back to where we could get to Harrod's.  This is a sight to see.  We spent more than an hour just cruising through four floors of very expensive clothes, jewelry, household, luggage, watches, etc.  Picked up a random pair of ladies heels. They were 500 pounds! That's just about $1,000 in U.S. at that point.

That evening we ate at the hotel. They had offered a special buffet for guests. The presentation was nice but when I got my plate to the table it was barely warm. They rather frowned when I asked for them to "nuke" it for a couple of minutes. Less than the best meal of the vacation.

Back to the room where we watched a couple of recent movie releases.
