Another shot of the Red-Walled Castle above Heidelberg.
We didn't get to stay for very long in Heidelberg, maybe an hour. Time to peek around a few corners, take a few pictures and eat a quick bite of food. Took a couple of pictures of the wonderful remains of the castle, high above the rest of the town. This is a very upper crust area. The homes show the beautiful detail that only the people with money can afford. Our tour director says that doctors, lawyers and travel guides are the only ones who can afford to live in this area. We saw what we thought was unique, the exterior of the local church was lined with outdoor vendors selling their trinkets, baubles and miscellaneous stuff. Well, the church was at the square, and where would more folks be than at the square, so I guess it makes sense. The Rhine River flows along and the beautiful homes on one side have the view of the castle on the opposite side. What a great sight.
On the bus again to Rhineland where we stayed the night. Arrived about 7p.m. Dinner was again buffet style. Not as good or as plentiful tonight. Fish and rice, broth and an anti-pasto style mini plate made up my dinner.
So far I had taken 128 photos with my 3.2 megapixel Canon digital camera.
