The little stone fences that cover much of the United Kingdom.

Today we head to most northern stop on our tour, Edinburgh, Scotland. Our first stop of the day is for a boat cruise on Windmere. This lake is serene and quiet. No speedboats are out or wakerunners. Just a couple of tour boats and a few nice yachts. A few nice properties along the lake front.

Grasmere was our next stop and what a pretty little village it was. We walked along the little street and to St' Oswald's church where we got some nice shots.

Then a ride thru the backroads into Scotland, where we stop at The Old Blacksmith's Shop at Gretna Green. Seems he could marry any Irish couple 16 or older who consented. So he was a popular fellow.

Several shops at this stop and even a heraldric shop with all of the Scots tartans, but NO Irish items at all.

On to Edinburgh where our hotel is at least a half mile from anything. We walked into town for dinner and found a wonderful Italian place called Bar Roma. Tonight a pizza, wine, and even dessert. This is a fun spot and mostly for the young crowd, but we enjoyed the fun waiters, good food, and joyous abiance. There were many large parties and we were lucky to get a table.
