The Ferry from Dublin

Today we are leaving by ferry and headed for Chester, England.  We have another late start because the ferry doesn't leave until 10:30.

This ferry ride is not at all like our previous crossing. This was a catamaran hulled, jet powered ship.  We only waited  few minutes and were parked inside and made our way to the top inside deck for the trip. Several food places and souvenirs and even slot machines to help wile away the time.  But this rig does 38 knots and is smooth as glass. It only takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to make the crossing.

On to Chester with a quick photo stop at tongue-twisting Llanfair.....  A scenic drive along the North Wales coast to Chester.

We enjoy a leisurely stroll around Chester and get several nice pictures and then on to our hotel for the night, the Ramada Inn.

Dinner began with warm fresh rolls and butter. We picked Egg mayonaise for our appetizers. Lamb with mint jus, boiled potatoes, carrots and Black Forrest Cake for dessert. My wife tried the Salmon for her main course. Coffee finishes off a very nice meal.

Aditu says:
Egg mayonaise is my absolute favorite appetizer over there, especially with Rose Marie sauce, and why is it that when I hard boil and egg here and cut it in half with mayo it doesn't taste the same, lol.
