Wake up call was at 6:45a.m. Breakfast at 7:15a.m., of cold cereal, orange juice, coffee and a sweet roll.
We were bused to Rijksmuseum for a tour. The museum was in the process of remodeling and so much was closed, but we did get to see many interesting things. Then across the street to do a walk trough tour of a diamond exchange. Cutting, setting, and sales. But with the numbers of people it wasn't the best of tours.... seemed like they just wanted to sell high priced jewelry.
We had free time for lunch so we strolled and bought grilled ham baguettes and hot chocolate.
There was an optional tour to see cheese making, wind mills, and dinner, but we opted out of that one. Instead we decided to see what the palace, and surrounding area looked like at the heart of the city. Yep, that's where the Red Light district is. But we were there around 6 or 7pm. which must be nearly the quietest time for that area. Very few girls in the windows. So we walked the souvenir areas along the main street and headed back to our hotel. We had no luck asking for a good place to eat so we ended up with cheese and crackers and wine in our hotel room.
