Akita Castle
So it is sunday, tomorrow is a holiday (Autumn Equinox Day) and the weather is really great. Me and Brennon had planned to go and see the ocean and the Aquarium in Oga, so we took the first bus to Wada Station and headed off to Akita, where we would change trains to Oga, but, when we got there we found out that the next train there would take more than an hour to come. Yes, we are both very bad trip planners and none of us had bothered checking the train times before coming. Anyway we just decided to explore Akita city a little bit more and headed out to Senshuu Kouen through the main plaza in front of the station. I could hear some music and noise coming for another street, so we went to check it out and found a large group of people dressed in a strange way dancing to the sound of some really weird japanese music.

I have no idea why they were doing that, and Brennon is even more clueless than me. Senshuu Park is very beautifull and really quiet place, a wide park where the Akita Castle and Hachiman Shrine are located. The castle is on top of the park, you pay a ridiculous Yen 100 to go in, visit inside (very small) and go to the top, where you have a general overview of the whole Akita area. We stayed there for a good while, just walking around, and in the entrance of the park was a Babahera, meaning, an old lady selling icecream in a street stahl. You can only find them in Akita. But after having a delicious udon lunch in a typical japanese joint (it's the second time I go there, it's really cool) we weren't up for icecream. However, when we definitely got back to the train station we bought an Icecream Crepe with moka and tiramisu wich was the single most delicious thing i have eaten since getting here!
