Isla Mujeres, Playa, Cozumel, Tulum
Not too much to say about these places. Basically I travelled to Cancun and immediately on to Isla Mujeres, an island just off the coast. Spent the evening with two Irish guys who spent all of their evening trying to get all the girls in the hostel to skinny dipping and ended up being the only two in the water, pretty funny seeing their forlorn faces when they came out the water, after realising that their craze had not caught on.
Spent the next few days diving. Ended up in Tulum which is a really good place to get a shack on the beach and relax in the sun. Also its a good point to go and dive the cenotes (huge cave system in Yucatan pennisula - in fact biggest in the world). If you do ever get the chance to go diving there, be sure to do the "Temple of Doom" - apart from the coolest dive site name ever it has a mean entry - you do a 3m jump in fully kitted up through a hole in the ground (see pic)
