Eating your way around Tiffin, Ohio

Being a teacher in Midwest Ohio, I have my summers (and an occasional snow / fog / ice / cold day) off.  I usually take this opportunity to eat lunch with Dad, who works in Tiffin (just 25 minutes up Route 53 from my hometown of Upper Sandusky).  I started writing reviews of the places we have eaten and realized that I have eaten my way around most of Tiffin!  We are always looking for new (usually new to me, Dad has been more places) to try.  We like to avoid the "chain" restaurants (Pizza Hut, Frisch’s, etc.) and fast food (Arby's, Taco Bell) and try the local hang outs.

Please keep in mind that I'm reviewing all of these as lunch places.  Dad has an hour, which is a good amount of time; Tiffin is a small town and pretty well laid out.

While, amazingly enough, I've eaten at MANY places in Tiffin, the small town has even more to offer that I haven't visited yet.  I hope to keep adding more.

So hopefully you are heading through Tiffin, Ohio around lunch!  All of the places I have mentioned are also open for dinner.  If you are from the Columbus area and heading to the lake (Erie), you go smack through Tiffin.  Stop and eat!  They know good food!
