Kind of a wasted day...

We have a habit of making things more complicated than they should be (obviously) and today was no different!
We all got up, packed the cars, drove back to Rutherford, parked the cars, got the right train tickets and got back into the city! Me and Rach went to get cash for the apartment and check in. Meanwhile, Scott, Abby and Taylor had re-packed the Pathfinder with all the luggage and were making their way into the city. The check in process took way longer than it should've and Scott and Co arrived and started unloading the TONS of luggage we had. The problem was, that the apartment people didn't exactly know we had 16 staying in a place that is supposed to hold 8...they were eying our luggage pretty closely...we had to kind of sneak around, but it was the best we could do, considering the circumstances! Better than sleeping in Central Park!
Me, Rach and Abby get all the luggage situated in the apartment while Scott and Taylor take the Pathfinder back to NJ and take the train back into the city.
Me, Rach, Hannah and Amanda end up eating at Picolo Buffalo in Little Italy (after playing in the makeup at the Body Shop) It was good Italian and we were happy to be able to sit down somewhere and have a nice meal!
Meanwhile, the others were exploring: some went to Central Park, the Apple store....
NYC Side Note: It is blazing hot in the subways in August! I don't think we will visit in August again! Walking around wan't as bad as when you get down in the ovens they call stations! Most of the cars are airconditioned, so that helps!
We decided to go to Serendipity that night for Frozen Hot Chocolate. We got there at about 10:00 PM so the wait wan't that bad.
The sleeping arrangements got interesting that night! Amanda and Hannah shared the smalled bedroom, Kristin, Jenee' and Brittany shared the larger bedroom, me, Rach and Abby shared the sofa bed, Scott and Josh on the air mattress, and all the other guys on the floor in sleepingbags. Well, turns out that Rach had left the plug to the air matress at Gretchen's, so Scott and Josh made due with one sleepingbag opened up to sleep on top of. And Jordan did not bring a sleeping bag, so we put the sofabed mattress on the floor and he slept on the sofa with a blanket. They guys had the bright idea of watching 300 at 1 AM...I finally drifted off to the sounds of gladiators fighting...lovely.
