Sandcastles

I know it is strange writing about sandcastles on a beach but these where something special. In 2005 a group of people brought Ancient Egypt to the shores of England by building some wonderful sand creations. Take a look at the photos and enjoy.

Sandcastles

The size and scale of the sandcastles were extensive. Thousands of hours had been spent shipping over special sand and many people helped to create a set of wonderful sand sculptures worthy of the kings of Egypt themselves. As this acient culture is one i have an interset in and teach to children in school, the detail was even more impressive than the photos give them credit. Enjoy the photos as much as i enjoyed taking them. The only problem is this was around for a short space of time. Having joined this site has now given me the chance to share these photos.
