For the past 3 years I have lived outside Wichita Falls. Wichita Falls' population is a little above 100,000. It's a mix of "small town" meets "up and coming city". Wichita Falls is the home of Sheppard AFB, red draws (beer & tomato juice) and the world famous Hotter N Hell 100 bike race. I think a lot of people traveling to Wichita Falls make a mistake by looking at the town for what "chain" restaurants/stores it doesn't have, you must truly look at the hidden gems this town has.

Falls Flyover

While I was on base Honor Guard we were invited to the opening of the Falls Flyover. Three ramps of the highway interchange (Falls Flyover) that connects Interstate 44, US 281, US 287, with US 82 was officially opened to the public. The northbound ramp that connects to US 82 is the only ramp still under construction.
