my first full day in NYC.. Just so amazed about everything
My lovely first oversea joyrney.. :) When I was kid I didn't travelled so much.. So then I went to YWAM and I did my first REAL journey.. :) All the way to USA! :) It was awesome! First we flyed to London and I said to my friend that I haven't ever been in this big city.. And 7 hours after that I said the same thing again.. But now I wasn't in London anymore.. I was in New York!! You know it was awesome to see New York first time at the night because there was lights everywehere.. It is really truth when they say that New York is the city that never sleeps.. So during the two and half month what I stayed in USA I lived little bit under two months in New York- Harlem. It was really wonderful to live there near to local people.. Not just in some hotel in the middle of Manhattan.
Actually I think that if you go to New York and you stay all that time in somewhere near to Times Square or Penn Sta. You don't see what real New York is.. :) So why I saw so much, is because our team was helping churches, organizations and so on.. So sometimes we went to Brooklyn, sometimes to Bronx, China- town, Manhattan, Long Island.. To many places and I'm really happy by seeing so much. It really opened my eyes to see many things. It's not just what you see first, you need to go deeper so that you can understand even something. So first one guy gave us a subway map and tryed to explain it us.. It was just messy map to me and I thought that "oh my cash, I'm in trouble".
. But when I went there first time, I realised that it's not so hard what it seem. I'm not saying that now I know how to get everywhere in New York, but it's not like a huge giant for me anymore. :D HAHA! I loved to see so many nations and cultures in one city.. Well there is more poeple in that city, that what we have people in Finland.. But still.. There was so many people living there that didn't speak english at all and they still make it! :) I would really love to go back to New York one day. We went also across the States.. Starting from New York all the way to California. Washington D.C. was cool place.. Kansas City was also nice.. But Colorado.. I LOVE IT!!!!! All the hills and mountains.. It was friggin beautiful place.. Like really B-E-A-utiful! Maybe I can move there one day.
NYC at the night time
:) And then we went to Las Vegas.. We stayed there something like 4-5 hours and it was totally too much to me. You can really feel the atmosphere there.. Money and sex.. It was awful. But then finally we arrived to CALIFORNIA. :) It was okay, but I'm not a person who like to see "stars" and Hollywood and just take it easy and relax in the beach.. But I loved to see orange- trees and lemon- trees.. Two weeks was enough to me.. It was really nice to go back to NYC after that.. :) Actually there was "snowstorm" at the time we went back there.. Well maybe it was a "storm" to them.. But I have grew up in the middle of snow, so to me it was just little snow fall. :) But definately I recommend States for all of you.. I love it and I believe that you will love it too.. Maybe you don't like cities, but there is many places.. Many states. :) And all those are different to each other, only language is the one, where you will find something common.. ;)
