Self-portrait in Allison's place.
After a pretty exhausting Friday and little sleep, I awoke to a beautiful Connecticut summer day.  I drank my Propel and Liz, Caitlin, and I got into Paul's car to head back to Angellino's.  All of our cars were there.  And at Angellino's we can have free coffee, so we relaxed there for a few minutes.  Caitlin and I went to the bank across the street so she could deposit her paycheck, then I followed her back to her house.  I brought in the Godiva chocolates I bought on sale so I could give them to Caitlin's parents for letting me shower there.  It was a much needed shower.  I felt badly for only staying to use the shower and computer for directions.  But I had to get to Allison in Brighton.
Allison is my best friend from Bridgewater.

We lived next door to each other for about 20 years, but she's been living in Boston for the past 3 years and I don't get to see her that much.  I was nervous about driving to Boston because that place is hard to drive in!  The streets go in circles and are so confusing!  But I actually made it to her place on Washington Street without a problem.  I got to see her house and roommates.  One of them graduated from UConn, like me!  Allison and I went shopping because I still needed a shower gift for Chelsie.  We found the stuff I needed in Target, Marshall's, and Linens and Things.  It was good cuz it was tax-free weekend in Boston.  She filled me in on what's been going on with her friends.

Her friends' lives are not unlike a soap opera.
So back to her place after we bought a bunch of liquor and then time to relax for a bit and get ready for Dana's going away party at the Harp.  Lots of Allison's friends came over.  Joey was in New Hampshire for a wedding.  We drank a few beers before getting into cabs and heading across town.  The Harp is a very cool place.  Upstairs there is a bar, dance floor, and band.  Downstairs is another dance floor, bar, and dj.  And the bathrooms too.  We wound up staying there the whole night and had a great time.  Liz met me out and she had her roommate with her.  Kathryn also met us out too.  She had some southerners following her around for part of the night.  I drank a lot.  Beer wasn't getting it done, so we switched to Jack and Coke.  I got tipsy and then drunk, and then cleaned the bathroom.  I knew it was going to happen. It's what I do.  We headed home and ate some leftover food, like mozerella sticks and cupcakes.  Then we took 2 aspirin and a vitamin because Allison says that's the way to make sure you don't have a hangover.  I wasn't going to pass up that chance.  And I got my own bed too, since Allison's roommate slept out that night.  Good night.
