A day trip to Tagaytay with my parents and my mom's college friend...
We left Manila for Tagaytay with no traffic to hinder us, arriving in Tagaytay in less than an hour and a half....
Our first stop was People's Park in the Sky - an urban park built from an unfinished mansion during Marcos' regime. The park, located on top of Mt Gonzalez, has a beautiful view of the surrounding area and Lake Taal - however, the grounds of the park and the unfinished structure itself is poorly maintained and just looked abandoned. In the area is a doppler weather station maintained by PAG-ASA and the Shrine of Our Lady, Mother of Fair Love.
We drove down to edge of the lake for our boat ride around Lake Taal - the area is peaceful and the scenery was just beautiful.
After the boat ride, we were hungry and off we were to Balay Dako, a restaurant with a gorgeous view of Taal Lake and scrumptious Filipino food from Visayan apart of the Philippines. We had a leisurely and abundant lunch with a spectacular view.
Soon after, we decided to have some coffee or tea as a Starbucks I have read with a great view of Lake Taal. There, my mom and her friend caught up and their missing years and reminiscing on their college years.
The drive back to Manila smooth and some mild traffic once we were around Makati. We had dinner at a restaurant in some mall before my mom's friend dropped us off and we said our goodbyes.
It was also my last day with my parents (my eldest sis and younger bro left yesterday) and my parents were leaving to visit my dad's relatives in Iloilo, while I was off to El Nido with my friend, Izumi... (The Part 2 of my Southeast Asian trip...)
