My travel buddies! Ruben + Arne (The Netherlands), Shona (Scotland), Kelly (England) + Poul (Denmark)
Hi everyone...
Well it's been a while since I last wrote and I have had SOOOOOOOOO much fun! I am currently travelling with 2 Dutchmen, a Dane, a Scot, an Englishwoman and an Aussie who lives in Thailand. They are all fantastic people and I am having an absolute blast, the best time of my life. Anyway I'll start from the start.

Zoukout, the party on Sentosa Island, was one of the most fun nights of my life. There were 15,000 people, the DJs were awesome, the lasers and lights were excellent and the sound system was really good quality. I went with 25 people from the hostel + Bing so we had an AMAZINGLY fun time. The headlining DJ, Armin van Buuren from Holland (I should think you guys have all heard of him) was really really good (I'm running out of adjectives to describe things that are good, lol!).
The crazy satay...yikes...
We had to wait in a queue for an hour before getting in which wasn't too good but once we were in it was fine. There were four stages each playing different music, and all were on the beach which was really cool. There was also things like bungys etc for when you wanted to stop dancing for a while, also massages etc. Sometime around 4am after Bing had left the downpour started. I kid you not, I have never seen rain like this before. It absolutely poured! So we were all dancing in the rain completely soaked through. We didn't leave till 6am and had breakfast near our hostel till 7:30am before finally going to bed. We looked shocking!
The same day I had cake and stuff with Estella which was really nice (thanks mate!) before meeting my Intrepid group in Chinatown - Ruben, Poul, Arne, Kelly, Shona and Trent.

The next day we caught the bus to Melaka in Malaysia where we stayed at Sama-Sama guesthouse with people called Gabi and Soon who were cool but really weird!!! Melaka was cool. We went on a trishaw ride (I was wondering why our guy was playing Abba until he asked if I was Scandinavian, lol) and also took a hilarious boat trip down the river which concluded with the guy saying goodbye in over 100 languages by heart! Very impressive. I will put up pics if I can when I have more time.

We had a hilarious sate meal in Melaka which ended up with all of us getting covered in peanut sauce thanks to Ruben spinning his stick, and being forced to drink boiling hot water cos 'that is all that we have miss'. :)

Caught the bus to KL where I spent the afternoon visiting mosques with the boys while the girls went shopping.
Bob Marley's ethos
This was sooooooo funny. I had to get dressed up like little bo peep and the robe was so huge I could barely walk. I also had no clue how to tie the headscarf properly so I looked utterly ridiculous. The guys didn't look much better. We all looked like we were graduating from uni except our robes were sky blue and not black!

Later that night we discovered there were free drinks for ladies on Tue and Wed at a place near our hotel so naturally we headed there. This was good fun but not busy so eventually we headed to a Bob Marley Reggae Bar. This was really cool and drinks were cheap here too for 'good-looking ladie backpackers' - less than AUD$2. Yes that was a funny night.

Yesterday we all went up the Petronas Towers (no-one was feeling too good.
Batu Caves, Malaysia
..) but that was disappointing. Then some of us headed to the Batu Caves to see Hindu shrines. This was really really cool. Monkeys were everywhere!!!

After that we went up the KL Tower which has a 360 degree view over KL and despite costing us money (P.T. was free) was much much better. We did some shopping and then met the others for dinner, repeating the previous night with a trip to the Reggae Bar again.
Today we are heading to an island homestay with a Muslim family which should be great. I'll write more next time I have internet access. Bye!
Thankyou for your emails everyone. I have 20 to reply to though so won't be able to reply to them now as my time's nearly up. I'll write back eventually though!
