Malang, East Java

Malang is small town about 45 miles south of Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Malang is known for ancient Hindu temples, beautiful mountain ranges, and Malang apples and flowers. Malang has apple plantations open for visitors. Malang is also a host of many beautiful flowers, especially orchids. The famous Mt. Bromo is located near Malang and is never shy of visitors/climbers. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. While Mt. Kawi is another beautiful mountain region, Mt. Arjuna has great hillsides where resorts and hot springs are located. The mountain areas needless to say give a special fresh, cool feelings you hardly get in other places in Indonesia.
