This was when I was on my way to go buy that little red dodge Neon from LA

Once again it has been a long while since I last wrote here. Just when you believe things are set, everything gets jumbled all over the place. The last time I believe I said that I was going to work part time and try to work full time elsewhere. Also last time, I forgot to mention that when I came out to San Bernardino (August, 2014) I didn't have a car but then borrowed my parents again a few months later (November). I gave that car back to my parents and had been carpooling for two months (July and August). So I was without a car, working part time, and lost half of my travel funds that I worked so hard to save up. However, a seed I'd sown a few months back finally began to bear fruit.

On board the train to LA

A few months ago when I still had my parents car (I don't remember exactly when) I applied for a new full time position at my job. The position was a big deal and the experience can get me into almost any other job I so choose in the future. At first I was back and forth about it because I wanted the free time to do other things and have time for Japan. Unfortunately, I had to face facts. I can't worry about Japan right now. While waiting to hear back about the position, I had someone who was already in one of those positions giving me helpful information about what was going on. I found out that my name was now on the roster for that position. Not knowing if this information was accurate or not I had to act fast. I had to have my own transportation. Finally, I was forced to use my remaining half of savings for Japan.

I spent the last of what I had to get a car and other things needed. Then about a week or two later, I was officially given the position which was now full time and came with a raise. Unlike before, overtime was mandatory which is not a big deal to me. I stopped thinking about going to Japan for a while, that is until last week, when the one already in the position that was giving me the helpful information told me he was taking a week off in October. Due to the importance of our position (there is about 8 of us) I didn't think we could get a big chunk off like that. I thought that I should try asking but was hesitant because he had already been in that position a few months. To my surprise however, since I was doing so well so quickly...I was given a week off! I couldn't believe it. It didn't seem real because it all just happened in the course of a week.

Some thoughts come to mind about this though.
