Stunning Argentiere Glacier

The plan for the day was to trek from Lognan cable car station to Pt de Vue to see the Argentiere glacier, the glacier that we saw the other day but left in a hurry before even appreciating its beauty.
Indeed, this glacier was absolutely stunning. And for that reason, there were many helicopters offering scenic flights hovering around the area. When we reached the end of the trail to Pt de Vue, we continued climbing onto the rocky trail upwards alongside the glacier. The wind was extremely chilly as it was blown across the glaciers. There were occasional rumbling sounds coming from the glacier, indicating its constant movement.
Having found a sheltered spot behind a huge rock boulder which helped to partially block the winds, it was time for picnic and lunch. Other trekkers were surprised and amused to see us having lunch there. Packing up and descending at about 2.30pm, it allowed us ample time to reach the cable car station and to pick some more blueberries. I had again a great time harvesting the big and succulent near the Lognan cable car station and had such a huge harvest that I was called the blueberry muncher by the other trekkers.
